Explicit and Implicit Feedback in Computer Assisted Pronunciation Training

by Ricardo Gutierrez-Osuna

We propose to prepare a demo of two forms of feedback in pronunciation training for second language (L2) learners. The first form, explicit feedback, consists of a web-based system that can detect mispronunciations in L2 speech. The second form, implicit feedback, is in the form of a web-based system that allows L2 learners to synthesize a model of their own voice producing native-accented speech.
